Good morals

(ศีลธรรมอันดี) under Thai law refers to generally accepted standards of morality, fairness, and ethical conduct in society. In Thai law the concept is commonly used together with “public order” as a general legal limitation on contractual freedom and juristic acts. Contracts or clauses considered abusive, exploitative, or contrary to these principles may be void or unenforceable under Thai law.

This concept is intentionally broad and allows Thai courts discretion to invalidate agreements or contractual clauses considered contrary to accepted legal and social standards in Thailand.

Section 150 of the Thai Civil and Commercial Code is one of the fundamental provisions governing the validity and enforceability of juristic acts and contractual arrangements under Thai law.
