How can I replace my paper lifetime driver Thai driver license for a plastic version
I recently tried to exchange my paper Thai lifetime driver license for a current digital version and was refused - "We don't issue them anymore." I obtained the lifetime license in 1973 when I was a US military member assigned to Thailand. The Land Transport Office person told me I could only exchange it for a five year license and I refused. She the returned the paper license and told me I could continue to use it. I know they don't issue new lifetime licenses but recall having read that the date on which the exchange of paper for digital versions had not been officially published.
