This Act (also referred to as the Marriage Equality Act) amends multiple provisions of Thailand’s Civil and Commercial Code, including engagement, marriage, spousal relationship and property, divorce, legitimacy, parental/maintenance matters, and succession, modernizing language and updating rules while preserving the Code’s structure.

Be it, therefore, enacted by the King, by and with the advice and consent of the Constituent Assembly in the capacity of the National Assembly, as follows .

Whereas the House of Representatives deems expedient to have a law on Thai vessels;

Be it, therefore, enacted by the King, by and with the advice and consent of House of Representatives, as follow:

Section 1. This Act is called the “Thai Vessels Act, B.E. 2481”.
